Description
Quench Oil 70 is a premium quality quenching oil that is formulated using paraffinic base oil in combination with a proprietary additive system. It is designed to provide a high initial cooling rate to induce maximum hardness, provides excellent oxidation stability, reduce deposit formation, and have good heat transfer characteristics. It is non toxic and does not require red labels.
Application
Quench Oil 70 is recommended for use when deep and uniform hardening is required in steels having small grain size or wide variation in grain size, in steels with lean alloy content, in parts having sections or odd shapes, and in steels having variable hardenability. Its ability to adhere to smooth or shiny surfaces is ideally suited for use when parts must retain a bright finish. Quench Oil 70 has a high viscosity index for minimum viscosity change during the entire quenching operation, and has a high flash and fire point to minimize fire hazards. It is recommended that customers conduct individual performance trials on samples of these oils prior to purchase.
